WEEKLY CHARACTER #19

"MY BEASTLY PORTRAIT"

This week there's a collaboration between Ryan Lovelock and me.

He did this sketch for my birthday and I finished it.

Il Weekly Character questa settimana lo dedico al mio primo mentore nel campo del disegno, in occasione del suo compleanno (ieri...evabbè). Quando avevo circa 10 anni (più o meno), dall'alto della sua esperienza, fu il primo uomo in assoluto a spiegarmi che per disegnare un personaggio (in quel caso era Spiderman) bisognava suddividerlo innanzitutto in solidi semplici per poi aggiungere mano a mano i dettagli. Dopo questa scioccante rivelazione ho pensato:

"Minchia! allora è così che fanno! Posso farlo anch'io!!!"

Da lì mi si è aperto un MONDO in cui tuttora vivo!

Il character è una trasposizione di uno dei suoi personaggi fatti in fil di ferro e scotch, di cui mi permetto di postare la foto di riferimento che ho usato!
